Does Windows XP actually work for anybody except Microsoft? We finally admitted it onto one machine here and it has been less stable than the MhWindows 95 it replaced. XP and MhWord give "error report" dialogs daily; Netscape and Games run for hours, so we know it's not hardware-related. And yes, our virus protection and our "Windows update" and "Office Update" are up-to-date.
Speaking of which, the article on Reliable Computing in the June 2003 Scientific American prompted the quip "Isn't reliable computing an oxymoron?" My sister-in-law then retorted: "Does that make Bill Gates the ox or the moron"? :-)
